Norma- I've been in southern California (the San Diego area) twice, both times in June (you know summer) and I nearly froze to death. Warm California beaches are a myth dreamed up in Hollywood. LOL
It is beautiful and tranquil looking, but you can't convince me it's warm.
Tammy - June is traditionally cold and foggy in California, hence the term June Gloom. Choose another month next time, and you may have a better experience....
I like 90 and my mother in law doesn't see that much and unfortunately thus far our trips have been associated with kids getting out of school or graduations and the next one will be as well. But I'll ask my mom in law when it's the warmest in Chula Vista. We went to a Padres game and I was bundled up in a big coat with a blanket.
I know what you mean, Tammy, I moved to California from Florida and the cooler temp took some adjustment.

I love the photo! and I've expereinced heat in CA -- usually in Sept or October. It is the light I love best about CA coast - reminds me of Italy light.

Norma, I LOVE that photo - it is absolutely stunning! Makes me almost stop thinking about Snow! Which is all I've been thinking about as I can't wait to go skiing in two weeks :)
