I've had the ballot for a couple of weeks. I planned to vote immediately after the final presidential debate, but my decision was still clouded, so I left the ballot untouched on my desk and waited for my choice to become clear.
I vote for the person, not the party. I think character and integrity are more important than platforms and promises. I vote not only for the economy of Norma, but for what I believe and hope is best for the world, our country and my grandchildren. I think it's selfish not to take the long view of the legacy our lifetime imprints on world history.
With pen in hand and a steaming cup of hot tea to sip, I cast my vote for:
The presidential candidate I believe to be the more highly evolved human being, and under whose stewardship I hope our country will find new respect in the world, renewed prosperity at home, and a more conscious way of living on this planet with all the other inhabitants.
My voice has spoken, make sure yours is heard too. Vote.

I will be voting myself...for many of thesame reasons. It is our duty!
Norma, I love the way you did this. None of our business who you voted for, but your reason was eloquent. Just vote!
Featured @ Club Chaos
Gary - It's important to take part in the process!
Kris - Thank you and you're right, just do it!
C - Thank you for the feature!
I'm looking forward to voting, but there's almost no point in Maryland. Democrats outnumber Republicans 2-1, so a lot of people from both parties can fail to vote and it won't make any difference... Maryland goes Democrat. Period. Amen. But vote anyway!
Norma, I'm planning to vote early, though not often. That way, I can go to one of the nearby "battleground" states and help out for my candidate. It looks like we'll finally have a decent turnout this year.
Norma - I will be at the polling site early on Nov. 4th. We do have early voting here, but, I will still wait for election day. Maybe I am old fashioned, but, just like Christmas on Dec. 25, I still like to celebrate election day on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.
I had to do a double take at Gary's comment. I thought he had said he would be voting FOR himself LOL! I've never been an absentee voter. I don't know why, but I'm afraid it will get lost in the mail. There's something assuring about putting my ballot into the machine myself. I guess I'm getting old ;-)
I will be glad when the election is over though, I'm getting tired of the stagnation I think we're all in mentally.
Norma,
Nice way to put it. I don't mix politics with business, I am tired of the media. Will be glad when it is over. Yes, I will vote too.
Always have and always will vote. If too many people feel that they don't count...they won't.
I have already voted for this cycle. But I am going tomorrow to pick up the ballot for the next president, you know the primaries start Nov.5th and the election is only 4 years away.
Margaret, I lived in Glen Arm, MD for a few years, so I'm familiar with the politics of your state. BTW, I think you have the most beautiful spring season of anywhere I've lived!
Patricia - It will be an interesting election; glad to hear you are volunteering your time to help out.
Mike - I don't think it matters when we we vote, as long as we do it!
Colleen - Let's hope no ballots are lost this year and all goes smoothly. The world is watching this one!
Sharon - I try to keep my personal political preferences to myself--my vote is my vote. However, I do think it's important to exercise our right to choose and cast a vote!
Steve - And that's the truth.
Joyce - You are certainly not a procrastinator!
Walk in and early voting is available now at many municipalities throughout the nation. Contact your local county clerks office to see if it is available to you.
We have ours and we are getting them in on Monday. We have drop off locations for them close to where we live. It's important for all of us to get our vote in.
If anyone is not sure where to vote, google your poll location.
