Are you blogging on purpose? Does your blog have a central focus? Are you presenting your highest self through your writing? Or do you write about whatever is on your mind at the moment?
Recently I decided to categorize my blogs. I was surprised to notice I was addressing more posts to agents (members only) than I realized. Buyers also received a lot of attention and white space. Surprisingly, I was neglecting writing articles targeting sellers. Yes, it's true when we think "Internet Marketing" we think of buyers, but I've noticed more and more sellers refer to "prelisting research" they have done on the Internet.
Sellers, I will write more articles with you in mind. After all, I prefer to keep my clientele evenly balanced between sellers and buyers, so it makes sense to divide my blogging attention too. Oh, and don't be afraid to contact me direct if you have specific question or request.

Norma, I think it's really helpful to do an assessment of my blog now and again. I tend to keep things more balanced on my outside blog (buyer/seller/market reports etc) but for some reason, my AR stuff is more industry related. I think I view this as more of the social network than a business generator, though it's proven to be that for me as well!
Tim - No question about it, you know the purpose of your blog.
Barbara -- No apologies needed for blogging about what is on your mind--it's probably a topic others are interested in also.
Colleen, I agree, it's worthwhile to elavuate what we are writing and who we are writing it to. It's good to cover all the real estate bases!
Norma - while I try to keep a balance in my blogging I notice as you did that I do not always accomplish that goal
I believe Blogging is a great marketing tool because by reading the author's Blogs and comments, prospective Buyers and Sellers gain some insight into the agent's personality and thoughts. This in turn, helps clients determine if they can relate to a particular agent.
Norma - I think I better follow your lead and check out my own blog - I think it is directed towards buyers. Of course, that is a listing tool, right? :)
