My 7th Active Rain Anniversary is fast approaching. I posted my very first article November 2, 2007 and have averaged over 30 posts per month ever since. Since old posts never die and continue to fly around the Internet forever, I've been updating a few articles in hopes of breathing new life into them. This one seems an appropriate one to revisit given this is the Halloween season and time for ghosts, spirits and such. Perhaps it is time to try calling up the dead. Enjoy!

This is not about a séance. It is about breathing new life into my dead drawer-you know the bottom drawer on the back file cabinet--the one with the DFTs (deal fell through) and TWNBs (they will never buy). See kids, I can text too!
A few months ago I moved into a new office where space allowed me to bring all my files together for the first time in fifteen years. I kept the shredder busy for days, but I also saved a few files from its teeth.
Moved Out of State: I sold their Rolling Hills Estates home several years ago. They moved to another state with plans to sell the business and never return to California. After a few phone calls, emails, and holiday cards I lost track of them. On a whim, after seeing their file and a property that reminded me of them, I sent a note to his business, not knowing whether he was still involved or not. He called the next day, and is considering purchasing property in Rolling Hills. He's back.
They Will Never Buy: Guess what? After ten, yes that is ten years, they bought! Again, after previewing property I sent a note along with a copy of the flyer. Yes, I used snail mail because she stopped opening the MLS generated emails years ago. I mentioned the home would be open over the weekend. She and her husband attended the open house. Long story short, they are living in that Rancho Palos Verdes home.
So the next time you're "channeling" a long lost client, reach out and touch them. They may be waiting for your call.
