Norma - many parts of the country will scoff at the thought of a just under one million dollar home as entry level, those of us in So Cal know that there are pockets adjacent to much higher priced homes that offer many of the same advantages. If you are a buyer, it's important to utilize the services of a knowledgeable Realtor to assist in your search.
Michael - Why go it alone when you can get the inside information from a pro in the business of selling homes 365 days a year?
Norma --- definitely! When it comes to buyer representation, the dollar cost to the buyer is the same -- zero but the lost "opportunity" costs can be quite expensive if you don't choose the real professional.
Michael - I recently had a buyer ask me if and when they found the right house would I credit $5000 of my commission toward their closing costs. My response was how about if I save you at least 10 times that amount on the purchase price? They were interested in a house priced approximately $50,000 above market. They did not know that, but I did.
