I have several clients dreaming of retirement homes in the Greater Palm Springs area. I have numerous buyers anxious to move their young families to the Palos Verdes Peninsula to take advantage of the award winning school district. If lenders can provide the loans, I think 2010 will unleash pent-up demand on both fronts. 
If you are a seller who is anxious to move on to the next phase of life I think 2010 will find buyers anxious to purchase your Palos Verdes home. Prices have come down, interest rates are very attractive and the recession is losing its grip on the nation. It reminds me of late 1996 during the last housing downturn when we saw the first glimmer of signs the market was beginning to pick up. Can buyer confidence be far behind?
If selling your Palos Verdes home is in your 2010 plans, now is a great time to begin weeding out the clutter, lining up a painter and speaking with a real estate agent. The spring market is right around the corner, especially in Southern California. It is not unusual to see a fresh crop of listings appearing in February.
