I'm planning a long weekend away in the desert with my best gal pal. I have a capable partner to watch over the business while I'm away for three or four days. It was planned as a rest and relaxation break before the holiday madness begins. I wondered if I would be lost without my daily real estate fix.
No worries, it looks like I will not suffer from real estate withdrawal. My friend wants to check out the best deals on Rancho Los Palmas condos while we are in Rancho Mirage. That's easy since we'll be staying in a friend's condo at the resort.
I'm working with a developer on the Boitano Palms development in the Coachella Valley and really need a few more photos of the area. My camera will be tucked in my bag and I'll sneak out early one morning to catch the sunrise over the mountains.
I've found real estate is easily woven into most days even when I'm supposedly taking a break from the work I do.
Where do you go to get away from real estate? After all, it's everywhere.

Norma - enjoy your get-a-away. I go to the beach ... and of course I bring my camera simply because I love taking pictures of the beauty and splendor of the magnificent power ocean ... when I go to the beach to shut down and get away from real estate ... I really shut down and get away from real estate ... it is so renewing.
Have fun and I guess it's sorta a business trip (kinda)?
Kathleen - I take mini beach breaks on my daily walks. I'm fortunate to live right on the coast and the ocean is the most relaxing force in the universe for me. I've solved many a real estate issue on those power walks along the ocean bluffs.
Kathleen, have a great time while you are here and we do have beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Enjoy!
Norma, its great to weave some business into pleasure once in a while, but try a total no phone, no computer getaway sometime. I did this and bloged about it a while ago. It was called Down Time.
Great question... I had a melt down this past week with cell phones and computers. I am a tech geek to say the least and the phone won't stop ringing. I just disconnected on Friday afternoon, it was good for me to veg a bit. Now, don't get me wrong, I am busy and that is a blessing, but I am looking forward to Cancun in a few weeks where my cell phone wont work and only email can work... a guilty pleasure.
