I am in awe of many of the bloggers I read on Active Rain. I admire the dedication, the regularity and the variety of topics covered. Who knew real estate could be so fascinating? I can count on many of my favorite writers to deliver day after day a thought provoking post filled with fresh content. That my friends, is a labor of love.
It takes courage to begin a blog and commitment to continue it. Consistency is key to building a loyal readership. I've learned a lot about blogging by reading the blogs of others. I learned much about my profession by reading posts that caught my interest, dealt with similar issues or with a touch of humor helped me make it through the day.
I enjoy molding and crafting a post. I enjoy the sense of accomplishment and the camaraderie of sharing with my peers and readers. A blog is always a work in progress--it is never finished and that is the beauty of blogging--there is no end in sight.

I have a picture of me on a camel in Petra, Jordan. I should post it...
Norma- I like that photo of you on the camel, very attention grabbing. Yes, a blog is a journey!
Norma, you're right about blogging on a regular basis. I, too, love writing, tweaking, molding, adding color and photos to my posts....I feel very creative when I do. I enjoy talking with my fingers. Great picture on the camel. Looks like you're in the desert...;-)
Yes Norma, I agree it takes a lots of commitment and dedication to have a successful blog! As I am new to blogging I aim & aspire to write things that others will enjoy.... The photo on the camel is great!!!
Norma: It almost gets funny after a while. Some blog posts I write... take hours and hours... and are met with little success... comment-wise. Then at other times... is seems like posts I just sit down and type... end up getting Featured. Perhaps that ought to tell me something. Write from the heart... how can you lose. Keep up the good work, Norma. Take care...
Norma it amazes me too how well people write here. It takes me a lot of time to figure out what I want to say. If I don't write it immediately, it will never happen.
I love writing, but it takes time for sure. Love the camel photo - I rode a camel in Israel a couple of times. Interesting creatures. Lovely eyelashes. Although writing is an adventure, the fruits of your labor are always worth it. Cheers,
Norma - You are right, it takes time to blog, and you need to do on a regular basis to keep your loyal followers. I am so busy now, I only have time to read and maybe, leave a comment. I always find it amazing all the great writers we have on Active Rain - including you.
Norma, you are so right it takes time and discipline, which are scares commodities that we have.
Norma, once again, you are right on! Never been on a camel and your picture it just way too awesome! Keep blogging! I love your posts and hope we can share real estate information and ideas for years to come.
I blog every single day, whether I feel like it or not. Even on the days that I think I have nothing to say, I generally come up with something to say, boring as it may be for some readers. LOL. When agents in my office ask me how I do it, I tell them to just do it. You sit down in front of your computer and you type. That's the whole secret in a nutshell.
Greg -- With a few more camel photos we could have a caravan.
Katerina - Yes, blogging is a journey and a worthwhile one at that.
Teri - Yes, the camel photos was taken on a very hot day in the Sahara.
Sabrina - Writing with your audience in mind is important and will add to your success.
Elizabeth --It is amazing what we can do when we decide to do it.
