I spent Saturday walking the land of Boitano Palms, the gated equestrian community under development in the Coachella Valley, and just minutes from the polo fields, horse show arenas and multi-million dollars residential enclaves in the desert resort cities of La Quinta, Indian Wells, Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs.  Boitano Palms consists of twenty-two 2-acre lots bordering Calhoun Street and 54th Avenue.
