Blog Review: Palos Verdes & Rolling Hills Homes Blog by Norma Toering.  Wow, I woke up to find an email saying my outside Active Rain Blog was reviewed by Lender 411 and it received 5-Stars.  It's nice to know there is a reward for my obsession with keeping consumers up to date on real estate happenings around the Palos Verdes Peninsula!

Norma Toering has been specializing in Palos Verdes & Rolling Hills realty since 1992.  She frequently writes on her blog, http://palosverdeslifestyle.com, regarding updates on home sales reports, opinions and tips on local realty, and additional relevant information.  Norma started taking real estate classes in 1989, shortly after her youngest child started school, and has since then bought and sold homes all over the USA.  Two of Mrs. Toering's sons also work in real estate and another is in college after completing four years of serving under the Marine Corps.  Norma herself is a former 1^stgrade teacher and her daughter is currently a fourth grade teacher in the Palos Verdes Unified School District, which means she can give you an insider's view on why the school is such an excellent one-a high attractor for living in the area.

Norma's blog has already been recognized several times for its unique and contemporary quality. Ever since Norma started writing on it in late 2007, she's kept up a remarkable average of about 40 posts a month! That's impressive. One of her more recent posts, "What's In and What's Out of Real Estate?" contemplates how one can adapt to more modern takes and trends within the business.

Old age is not always kind, but there is only one way to escape it--either we die or we age--end of story. 

This may be an Active Rain success story since all I know at this point is the latest senior addition to my real estate family found me online.  He winters in California and has decided to make this his permanent home.  His home in Colorado is scheduled to close escrow on Monday and he is opening escrow the same day on a new construction condo I helped him secure.  The contract was finalized on Friday, his bags are packed and the moving truck is on the way.  Nothing unusual about the scenario except this mobile mover heading toward the Beach Cities of California is 84 years old.

Yes, I said he found me online, so forget about the Internet being only for the young and savvy; more and more seniors are finding retirement homes (and agents) online.  When I called this active senior he answered on his cell phone as he was either walking his dog or out and about, no longer tethered to a land line.  He's very much a 21st century man.

He's busy choosing flooring and planning for his future in sunny Southern California.  He is looking forward to the next adventure in his life and I'm happy to help him make his dream come true.  His outlook on life reminds me to stay enthusiastic and involved. 

 No matter what age you may be, growing older with grace is about attitude not years.   It is a joy to work with him and I believe I've benefited more from our association than he; he is getting a condo, but I've gained an important life lesson on how to greet each new sunrise with enthusiasm, purpose and joy.
